We cannot create a new future if we are living in the past. Everything from your past is stored in your subconscious, and although you cannot change those events, you can change how you think about them in the present.
The future, on the other hand, is a mental projection - an imagined outcome often shaped by past experiences. But life is unpredictable. Circumstances, accidental encounters and decisions you make in the present moment determine what happens next. You have control over your thoughts and actions in the now, but you have no control over the actions of others or every event that occurs..

In the present moment, there are usually no problems - unless you are dealing with an immediate crisis, such as an accident. Usually, when we are fully in the now, everything is fine.
Negative feelings such as depression, anxiety or fear come from thoughts about the past or worries about the future. The key is awareness: the moment you notice your thoughts wandering to these places, bring your focus back to the now. Only here, in this moment, can you make real change.
